James Dixon

MA (Hons) Landscape Construction, Btec. ND Landscape Construction

James Dixon has 25 years experience in the landscape industry.   He trained in Landscape construction at Merrist Wood College where he won the Spearman cup for a Chelsea Flower Show garden design.  He then went onto study landscape design at Edinburgh College of Art (Heriot Watt University).

James gained experience in landscape construction and grounds maintenance in domestic gardens and prestige large scale works.

James has a solid plant knowledge and can produce varied all year round interest and low maintenance schemes suitable for the contemporary garden.

Awards and Achievements

  • 1990 Designer for Chelsea Gold Medal winning Mariner’s Garden built by Merrist Wood College
  • 1989 Worked on garden construction team for London Association for the Blind Garden for the Visually impaired
  • 1998 Designed the BALI Hampton Court Garden that won a Silver Medal
  • 2008 & 2009 Gold Medals for environmental improvement schemes in Enfield in Bloom
